RAISE FUNDS TO HELP FAMILIES IN NEED OF CARE AND COUNSELING
We raise funds through large-scale events such as concert fundraisers, as well as smaller local donation campaigns. These funds are used to develop faith-based programs that care for families in need of spiritual support. By developing a fund specifically for the purpose of caring for families, we can better target their problems and get them on the road to healing and reconciliation.
CREATE A DEDICATED COUNSELING PROGRAM FOR COUPLES
One of the most serious issues that can arise in church is marital strife between one of the congregation’s couples. Communication is often the key to properly assessing the problem. Faith&Family helps to train professional Christian counselors to handle cases that are beyond the scope of pastoral care. Potential counselors are identified and then trained by our partner organizations, culminating in a postsecondary Christian counseling certification.
PREVENT MARITAL PROBLEMS FROM OCCURRING BEFORE THEY HAPPEN
Many of the most common causes of marital strife can be avoided through refocusing the family’s goals towards a common purpose. We encourage married couples to make a Christ-centered goal for their family, and strive to keep it. Our seminars, conferences, and workshops all provide opportunities to develop healthy Gospel practices for a happy family.
ENCOURAGE CHRISTIAN FAMILIES TO LIVE AS “SALT AND LIGHT” IN THE MIDST OF SINFUL CULTURE
As our culture and world bombards us with sinful influences, we are helping families to discover again what it means to be the “salt and light” that Jesus exhorted us to become. We help like-minded Christian families to work together to fight this sinful trend. By creating new and wholesome ways to have fun in the world, we help families to grow closer while developing a deeper relationship with God.
ASSIST CHRISTIAN FAMILIES IN GAINING AWARENESS OF THE GREATER GLOBAL CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY TO WHICH WE BELONG
In this globalized society, where everything is linked through the internet, it is imperative that Christian families gain awareness of their belonging to a wider Christian community in the world. Christians are often persecuted for their faith; solidarity among Christians can help to create freedom for Christian brethren in every nation. Going beyond the walls of physical family, when we follow the attitude of Jesus that “whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother” (Mt 12:50 NIV), then Christian families will be strengthened all over the world.
